I see what you are referring to. Could you replace that with a formed piece of aluminum? You'll need to make a way to attach it under that lip but it would look about the same and never need replacing...

I used the putty tape on my windows between the window and the body of the trailer. I also bought a bunch of the drip caps for my windows. See the links below. Hope this helps.......
